Garrison Military Court No. 224 found innocent a serviceman who was detained at a protest against mobilization on September 21 in St. Petersburg. About it informs OVD-Info lawyer Nikita Sorokin defending a man.

According to OVD-Info, during the anti-mobilization rally, the military man was walking along Nevsky Prospekt with his girlfriend. The security forces detained him at a distance of more than a kilometer from the place of the action and drew up a protocol on the organization of a mass simultaneous stay of citizens, which caused a violation of public order (part 1 of article 20.2.2 of the Code of Administrative Offenses).

A policeman was summoned to court to draw up a report. He confirmed that he signed the protocol, but was not present during the arrest, and the forms, according to him, were prepared in advance by the authorities. The policeman explained his actions with “hatred of fascism,” OVD-Info reports.

The court decided to dismiss the case due to the lack of corpus delicti.

“Rotunda” published an interview with a military man detained at a protest against mobilization on September 21. The 24-year-old interlocutor of the Telegram channel, who fought in Syria, said that he did not participate in the action and saw off his girlfriend at Gostiny Dvor after the funeral of a comrade who died in Ukraine.
