Petersburgers mourn for the victims of political repressions. Photos from the action of memory in Levashovskaya Pustosh
On the Day of Remembrance of Victims of Political Repressions, mourning actions are held throughout the country. In St. Petersburg, during the day, the names of the repressed are read at several venues. One of the traditional places of mourning is Levashovskaya Pustosh, where tens of thousands of victims of Stalinist repressions are buried.
During the readings, the townspeople carried flowers, read pages from the Leningrad Martyrology, lit candles of memory, named the names of their relatives and friends who suffered from political repressions. “Paper” publishes photos from the action of memory.
