[NEWS] The President of the Czech Republic in the first 100 days in office will visit Ukraine and neighboring countries

In the first 100 days after the inauguration, which will take place on March 9, the elected president of the Czech Republic, Petr Pavel, will visit the capitals of all neighboring countries, as well as Brussels and Kyiv. This was discussed on the air of Czech Radio.

“For the first 100 days after Pavel took office, his trips to all the countries neighboring the Czech Republic and Brussels are planned. A trip to Ukraine is also planned for April,” the report says.

It is noted that the Czech leader will visit Germany on March 21-22, in April he will arrive in Brussels, at the headquarters of NATO and the European Union, and in the same month he will go to Ukraine.

Earlier, Pavel said that European security should be ensured by the capabilities of NATO, and not by a single army of the European Union. He noted that French President Emmanuel Macron “made a shift” with his statement about the need to build European defense based on NATO’s European pillar. In his opinion, this is a “reasonable shift.” At the same time, the Czech leader is a retired general and former chairman of the NATO Military Committee.
