In the company of producer Yuri Dushin, the director went to Donetsk, preparing to make a film about the Lugansk and Donetsk People’s Republics. Denis Pushilin, acting head of the DPR, spoke about this in his personal Telegram channel.
According to the politician, the project will tell about new Russian regions and their defenders. In modern conditions, this is very important, he added.
Pushilin thanked the guests for visiting the city and promised to attend the premiere of the film. Konchalovsky himself told about his trip. According to him, life in the capital of the DPR is fundamentally different from life in Moscow. This city has a completely different “degree of human interaction”, its inhabitants treat each other differently.
Earlier it became known that American actor Steven Seagal, who holds the position of special representative of the Russian Foreign Ministry for humanitarian relations with the United States, also intends to make a film about Donbass.
