It is noted that a 26-year-old resident of the region organized the scheme and attracted accomplices to it, including a citizen of another country. The attackers used the garage as a “transshipment” base. There they gathered those wishing to cross the border and conducted a preliminary briefing. After that, one of the perpetrators transported the men past the official checkpoints to the territory of the Republic of Moldova. For the services rendered, members of the criminal group received 4.5 thousand dollars per person.

According to the report, on September 15, the organizer and two of his accomplices were detained while trying to transport four “clients” across the state border. According to the results of authorized searches in places of residence, in vehicles and in a garage where men were gathered, the police seized cars, a pistol and a gun with cartridges for them, as well as 5,850 dollars and more than 60,000 hryvnias.
