AvtoVAZ announced how much an updated version of the domestic car Lada Vesta in the “comfort” configuration will cost (the car will be produced only in this version for now) – 1.239 million rubles. Experts praise the car, noting many changes in it compared to previous versions.
“Lada-Vesta has been produced since 2015 at the VAZ plant in Izhevsk, but then production was completely transferred to the main site in Tolyatti,” auto expert Igor Morzharetto told kp.ru. – The new version was presented on February 22 last year, but due to well-known political and economic reasons, production had to be postponed. They resumed production in March of this year, it is in full swing, and I think that the updated Vesta will go on sale in early summer.
According to the auto expert, the car was a success.
– This is a new generation machine – continues Morzharetto. – It looks very modern and will be in great demand. Unlike previous versions, it has improved lighting technology – there are LED headlights, the appearance has become much more modern, the interior also looks more modern – it uses high-quality finishing materials. A large vertical tablet appeared, the engine starts with a button. The car meets all modern safety requirements, there are ABS and other systems.
The only thing missing is an automatic transmission. The new Lada Vesta is produced only on the “mechanics”.
– They promise the automatic machine by the autumn, – the autoexpert says. – Then, most likely, versions with a 1.8-liter engine will be added to the current 1.6-liter engine.
The undoubted advantages of the VAZ novelty include the price. True, it is somewhat more expensive than it was announced a year ago, but only by 4.7% – the old price is 1,182,900 rubles. is still on the site lada.ru.
– The price is more than affordable for this class of cars – after all, this is practically a C-class, and the previous VAZ models are a B-class, – says our interlocutor. – I think that the car will be sold well, because there are no new cars in Russia at all in such a price niche. There are cheaper ones – the old Grant and Niva models, and there are more expensive ones – Chinese ones.
