Artists who went abroad in the hope that they could continue their careers there – horrified by the prices of rental housing and utilities. Someone fled “for world fame” a few years ago, and someone – a year ago. Those who left after the start of the NWO tried to earn a “minute of fame” on scandalous political statements, but this did not add to their work. What unites all those who have left is the shock of “communal and domestic” prices.

Ekaterina Kishchuk moved to England for permanent residence back in 2019, and complained about the too expensive life in a foreign land in May 2023. Kishchuk is from Tula, became famous when she became the soloist of the Silver group. Kishchuk has a musical education, she writes songs herself, worked as a model, filming abroad in advertising campaigns for major brands. In 2020, Katya Kishchuk was included in the Forbes rating of “30 most promising Russians under 30” – she was rated as a musician. Three years ago she went to England – to build a musical and modeling career there. But I had to pause – in 2021 Kishchuk gave birth to a son from British rapper Slowthaiwith whom she has already broken up. Now it works – it has released songs in English, but there are few orders. Kishchuk spoke about earnings: “I am signed with a talent agency – they give me a job, I go somewhere. Plus, I am subscribed to an American agency that gives me a job: like flying to Mexico, somewhere else. I do everything I did in Russia, but not on such a large scale … “The singer says:” There were a couple of moments when they refused to work, when they found out that I had a Russian passport … But whoever wants, he works.
29-year-old Kishchuk recently spoke about the prices in England for rent and a communal apartment: “For the money I rent here, I would rent a palace in Moscow. My apartment on Frunzenskaya cost 120,000 rubles: it had high ceilings, four rooms, and a large balcony. The apartment here costs twice as much. Plus a communal apartment – and this is another half of the cost of rent. I received an electricity bill this month for £400. Where did this amount come from? 400 pounds per month for electricity is 39,524 rubles at today’s exchange rate. To rent a three-room apartment for long-term rent in an inexpensive area of London costs an average of 3,000 pounds (296 thousand rubles) per month. Plus a communal apartment – in terms of our money, more than 100 thousand rubles. Food is also expensive. Kishchuk explains: “I don’t understand how people with a living wage pay here … You order a salad with chicken – it costs 25 pounds, that is, 2 thousand rubles for a salad. And we are accustomed to the “kitchen in the area” …. You just spend crazy money on everyday things…” For example, the average salary of a nurse in London is 2,200 pounds (212,000 rubles) per month, about half of the salary is just paying for a communal apartment. Little Big group over the past year has become a duet: instead of four people, two people sing – a foreign agent Ilya Prusikin* and his civil wife Sofia Tayurskaya. Sing rarely now. Lovers Prusikin * and Tayurskaya flew to the United States to build a “powerful career abroad.” Only nobody needs them there, despite Prusikin’s deliberately scandalous antics*. The rich stopped ordering them for their holidays of life – before the band’s concert cost $100,000 for a private event. They were often invited to sing after the PR with the Eurovision Song Contest. Now artists spend what they earned during the years of their former popularity. And they go on mini-tours, performing in mini-halls for a Russian-speaking audience. Got a green card, learn English. Parallel complain about the expensive life Abroad. Ilya Prusikin* and Sofya Tayurskaya rent a three-room apartment in Los Angeles, where three other people live with them – their sound producer, dancer and friend. Five people live, and Ilya * and Sophia pay the rent. The price of renting a three-ruble note per month is $3,500 (280 thousand rubles).

Israel
Actor Anatoly Bely does not hide the fact that often “dives” into the financial pillow security earned in Russia. Performances in Israel and infrequent tours bring small (compared to previous) fees. Bely (real name Weissman) left for Israel with his wife and children. He got a job at the local theater “Gesher”, and also tries to earn money as an entreprise – he travels through small halls with a one-man show, where he reads political poetry. Periodically, the artist complains that the earnings are small. White rents an apartment: “We rented an apartment in Netanya, my mother, father, sisters, brothers have been living here for many years.” Long-term rental of a decent (but not luxurious) four-room apartment in Netanya – 5,500 shekels (117 thousand rubles) per month.
