The Modern Languages Service (SLM) of the University of Huelva is preparing for another year to teach the successful Intensive Summer Courses in Foreign Languages. In this 2023 edition, the virtual modality is once again committed, which has been so well received in previous years.
From the SLM they highlight the online format of the classes, since it supposes the great advantage for the students of avoiding trips to the campus -with which the enrollment of students residing outside of Huelva is allowed- and, above all, it guarantees the recording of the videoconference sessions. This audiovisual record allows the students of the UHU both view deferred sessions that you have not been able to attend live, and access previous sessions to remember content.
Online training is carried out through the University’s virtual teaching platform (Moodle), to which students officially enrolled in these summer courses will have full access 24 hours a day, 7 days a week.
For this summer 2023, during the months of June and July, the SLM offers a wide variety of courses in a total of six languages (English, French, German, Italian, Portuguese and Japanese) planned to cover different needs, both of the community University of the UHU and the general population.
Reinforcement of languages in the UHU
On the one hand, initiation courses (A1) are offered in German, Italian, Portuguese and Japanese, with 60 teaching hours; on the other hand, for students interested in higher levels (B1 and B2), specialized courses (45 teaching hours) of English B1 and B2 are offered (oriented towards preparation for APTIS and Cambridge, respectively); French B1+, aimed at reinforcing level B1 and preparation for the official DELF B1 exam; and Italian B1, ideal for achieving an intermediate level, for example, for students participating in mobility programs with Italian universities in 2023-24.
All the information is already available on the official website of the Modern Languages Service: https://www.uhu.es/lenguas-modernas/including the online pre-registration form.
