Another item of expenditure is payment for “communal” (electricity, heating, gas, water, sewerage). Yes, during the period when no one lives in the castle, electricity consumption is minimal, but the temperature regime still needs to be maintained, because there are valuable paintings (Galkin is a lover of antiques), sculptures, decoration. Plus the content of security systems – cameras, panic buttons. Taking into account the scale of the house, the “communal apartment” and console security cost the owners 100 thousand rubles a month. Let’s add personnel to the expense item. You still need to take care of the lawn, pool, clean up the territory. Well, there should be security. At least two people per shift. A total of 4 guards. It turns out that about 500 thousand rubles a month are spent only on security. In general, if all the costs of the castle are collected, then its maintenance costs about a million rubles a month.

“KP” visited the vicinity of the castle on the eve of the return of Pugacheva.
Gryaz is a small village in the Odintsovo district with one shop for the whole district.
“Artists didn’t particularly visit our store,” the saleswoman said. – The last time we saw Pugacheva here was four years ago. I bought the simplest: sausage, bread, cucumbers. Welcoming, friendly. And we have never seen Galkin here. He only occasionally communicated with the inhabitants of the barracks, which were built a stone’s throw from the castle. On holidays, he gave them grocery sets – champagne, sweets, in a neighborly way. We did not receive such gifts.
Right behind the store is a playground. Here, according to the locals, every day they walked with the nannies Harry and Liza Galkina.

– I have never seen either Pugacheva or Galkin here. Only on TV, – a boy of ten years old tells us. – When Pugacheva left, the guards remained in the castle. There, at the gate, there is a house for workers, the guards were sitting near it all the time. And then the guards left, no one was there for a long time.
– Yes, we haven’t seen the guards for a long time. There, apparently, now only console protection. But sometimes we hear the workers knocking behind the fence. Maybe they are fixing something. And the gardener comes: the lawn is well-groomed, – the locals noticed.
The collection of antiques collected by Galkin is also on site. In the event of a sale, it must be transported somewhere. Such things require special care, and anyhow you can’t transport them anywhere. These are rare paintings and other ancient curiosities. For example, “Knight Sir Henry” is an antique of the 19th century, a copy of the armor of Henry the Second. “Sir Heinrich” stands in the hallway, as if welcoming guests.

– Due to improper installation, the collapse of the facade stone of the castle began. Maxim invited us to fix these problems, – back in 2016, Denis Aksenov, a copper craftsman, told KP. – And it was also necessary to close the protruding elements of the castle from snow and rain. When we arrived at Maxim’s house, there were already gargoyle monsters that acted as spillways. And I had an idea to make four more copper figures in the same style. During the repair of the castle, the facing stone had to be removed, bare places appeared. Fairy-tale figures helped to cover the concrete. For Maxim, we made them for a nominal sum to show what things our workshop can do.
