People’s Artist of the RSFSR, director and screenwriter Gleb Panfilov was hospitalized in Moscow with a stroke, director of the Lenkom Theater Mark Zakharova told us Mark Warsawer.
– It happened today. Gleb Anatolyevich fell at his home outside the city, – Mark Borisovich told KP. The housekeeper called an ambulance. And he was sent to the local hospital. From there I arranged to transport him to Sklif. Now Gleb Anatolyevich is undergoing an examination there, according to the results of which the doctors will be able to make an accurate diagnosis. Looks like a stroke, but he’s not speech impaired. More precisely, it will be clear what happened after the MRI.

Gleb Panfilov is 88 years old. Director and scriptwriter of the films “There is no ford in the fire”, “Beginning”, “I ask for words”, “Vassa”, “Ivan Denisovich” and others. He is a laureate of the International Film Festival in Locarno, Venice and Moscow International Film Festivals, winner of the Nika and Golden Eagle awards.
