The Royal Brotherhood of emigrants de Nuestra Señora del Rocío de Huelva has presented this morning in his brotherhood house in Huelva what will be, from now on, his new script for Huelva. An insignia that in the words of its president José Francisco Garrido “is incorporated into the brotherhood’s treasury as a memory of the City medal awarded by Juan Ceada, mayor of Huelva in the 1990s.”

The work has been designed by José María Carrasco Salas, brother of the Pilgrim Shell and renowned Huelva artist. The embroideries are from the Bordados Salteras workshop, while the goldsmithing has been carried out by the Emilio Méndez workshop.

Script renovation work

This is the first of the renovation works of the insignia and scripts of the brotherhood approved by the assembly of brothers last year 2022. According to the president, “with the start of the realization of these new insignia we will make a leap in quality and a greater splendor to the parades and processional outings of the brotherhood”.

For his part, the mayor of Huelva, gabriel crosshas highlighted the tireless work of “a brotherhood that is growing exponentially, with a great projection in the city.”

This first work has been financed thanks to the collaboration of numerous brothers and devotees of the brotherhood, together with the help of the City Council.
