Also during the holidays, United Russia activists plant “Gardens of Memory” throughout the country, including in new regions.

In Lugansk, the Young Guards, together with the Deputy Secretary of the General Council of United Russia, the senator from the LPR Daria Lantratova and Yunarmiya, planted 30 tree seedlings in the park on May 9 as part of the Garden of Memory campaign.

The seedlings were brought to Lugansk by representatives of the Councils of United Russia supporters from the Kursk and Kostroma regions.

“This year, in our new regions, we were preparing for Victory Day with a special feeling, because the LPR, DPR, Kherson and Zaporozhye region celebrate this holiday for the first time as part of the Russian Federation. People can put on St. George’s ribbons without fear, come to the Eternal Flames, which are lit again in new territories. We planted trees in honor of the heroes of the Great Patriotic War and modern heroes, the guys who today are defending their homeland from Nazism. Therefore, speaking of the exploits of the past, we cannot but think of the heroes of the present. The garden of memory is not only about the past, but also about the future, as a symbol of the resilience of our people, who could always respond to any difficulties with their unity,” said Daria Lantratova.
