A solemn ceremony of presenting diplomas, certificates and medals of the laureate of the State Prize of the Russian Federation named after Marshal of the Soviet Union G.K. Zhukov to military personnel, scientists and artists took place at the National Defense Control Center of the Russian Federation.
Deputy Minister of Defense of the Russian Federation – Head of the Main Military-Political Directorate of the Armed Forces of the Russian Federation, Colonel-General Viktor Goremykin, on behalf of the Minister of Defense of the Russian Federation, General of the Army Sergei Shoigu, congratulated the laureates, thanked them for the work done, for their contribution to the development of domestic military science and technology, Russian art, contributing to the further solution of the most important tasks of strengthening the security and defense capability of our country.
The winners of the Zhukov Prize in the field of military science were the authors of the work for Military Theoretical Work in the Military Space Sphere.
The award was also received by the authors of the work in the field of military science “Innovative hybrid technologies in the system of rehabilitation treatment of the wounded and patients with a cardiological profile” of Medical Sciences, Honored Doctor of the Russian Federation, Major General Alexander Esipov and Methodist of the Department of the Federal State Budgetary Institution National Medical Research Center for High Medical Technologies – Central Military Clinical Hospital named after A.A. Vishnevsky of the Ministry of Defense of the Russian Federation Vladimir Baksheev. Another team of authors of the work received an award in the field of creating weapons and military equipment.
In the field of literature and art, the prize was awarded to Anatoly Budko to the director and Dmitry Zhuravlev to the deputy director of the Federal State Budgetary Institution KI “Military Medical Museum” of the Ministry of Defense of the Russian Federation for exposition and exhibition work for the “Cycle of scientific and journalistic works to perpetuate the memory of doctors of the Great Patriotic War of 1941–1945.” .
Also the laureates in this nomination were the team of authors of the work “Sculptural composition “Marshal of the Soviet Union Vasilevsky A.M.” Aleksey Chebanenko, artist of the War Artists Department, and Andrey Bely General Director of Andrey Bely Architectural Studio LLC.

Presenting the awards, the Deputy Minister noted that the commission had considered 16 works submitted by individual authors and groups of authors. Based on the results of the work of the Commission, Decrees of the President of the Russian Federation were issued on awarding the State Prize in 2023 to 18 laureates in five works.
“In total, 68 applicants from various higher military educational institutions, research, public organizations, enterprises and institutions of Russia took part in the competition. All the works and the author’s contribution to them by the applicants were carefully studied and evaluated, for which I express my deep gratitude to the experts and leading expert organizations,” Viktor Goremykin emphasized.
