
Improving the standard of living of the population and developing human potential
in the context of Eurasian economic integration will be discussed by the participants of the session “Eurasian Dialogue on the Labor Market. Human capital. Healthcare” as part of the business program of the II Eurasian Economic Forum, which will be held May 24–25 in Moscow. The EEF is timed to coincide with the meeting of the Supreme Eurasian Economic Council with the participation of the heads of member states of the Eurasian Economic Union and observer states. The forum operator is the Roscongress Foundation.
– Ensuring the development of a single labor market within the Union is considered by the Eurasian Economic Commission as a priority task, and our work is aimed at further expanding the rights of workers and increasing their level of social protection,” said the Member of the Board – Minister in charge of Economics and Financial Policy of the Eurasian Economic Commission Bakytzhan Sagintaev.
The economies of the EAEU countries require highly qualified workers with new competencies who can produce competitive goods and provide quality services. For the further development of the single labor market on the territory of the association, it is necessary to introduce modern digital technologies that will allow all its participants to communicate and perform legally significant actions across borders. In addition, in the development and implementation of national policies, the exchange of experience and best practices in the field of high-tech medical care, as well as the implementation of digital initiatives and projects in the healthcare sector, is relevant. These measures will stimulate economic, social and technological development.
It is expected that the session will be attended by the Minister of Labor and Social Protection of the Russian Federation Anton Kotyakov, the Minister of Labor and Social Protection of the Republic of Belarus Irina Kostevich, the Minister of Labor, Social Security and Migration of the Kyrgyz Republic Kudaibergen Bazarbaev, Member of the Board (Minister) for Economics
and Financial Policy of the Eurasian Economic Commission Bakytzhan Sagintaev, General Director of the Agency for the Development of Skills and Professions Robert Urazov and Director of the Bureau of the International Organization for Migration in Moscow Marina Shramm. The session will be moderated by Head of the Federal Service for Labor and Employment Mikhail Ivankov.
On December 11, 2020, the heads of state of the Eurasian Economic Union approved a document on the Strategic Directions for the Development of Eurasian Economic Integration until 2025 (Strategy-2025). The well-being and health of the population, as well as the professional qualifications of employees as the most important elements of the labor force, are reflected in the Strategy 2025, which includes new areas of economic cooperation: healthcare and vocational education. The implementation of the strategy will ensure the accelerated development of the economies of the EAEU states through the growth of investment and innovation activity, the formation of flexible mechanisms to promote growth and employment.
The II Eurasian Economic Forum and the meeting of the Supreme Eurasian Economic Council are held as part of the Russian Federation’s chairmanship in the bodies of the Eurasian Economic Union in 2023. The purpose of the Forum is to improve cooperative ties in the Eurasian space. The EEF-2023 events will be held under the motto “Eurasian Integration in a Multipolar World”. In total, about 35 business sessions will be held within the framework of the event. They will be divided into seven thematic areas, among them: “Human capital”, “Technologies
and cooperation”, “EAEU in a changing world”, “Eurasian conjugation”, as well as “Internal market of the EAEU: customs cooperation, competition and public procurement”. Within the framework of the “Strategic Block”, a discussion of the EAEU Strategy – 2030+ will be held.
In addition, the Green Eurasia International Climate Competition, a business breakfast of the Agency for Strategic Initiatives dedicated to discussing new opportunities for developing international cooperation in Eurasia, and a business breakfast of the EAEU-Indonesia business dialogue will be held on the sidelines of the Eurasian Economic Forum. There will also be business dialogues dedicated to the cooperation of the Eurasian integration format with Indonesia and Latin American countries.
