On May 2, the winners of the Crimean music festival “Road to Yalta” became known, which was moved to Moscow in 2022. Now the audience has the opportunity to watch the TV version of the concert — it will be shown on May 8 on the air of the Kultura channel.

The fifth contest “Road to Yalta” brought together vocalists from 15 countries, including the most exotic ones: Indonesia, Zimbabwe, Ecuador, India, Mongolia and so on. The vocalists showed off their skills, performing famous Soviet songs about the Great Patriotic War, and reputable judges evaluated the performances – Kai Metov, Zara, Denis Maidanov and others – under the chairmanship of the master Lev Leshchenko.

The scale of the event can be estimated at least by the fact that the president of Russia sent a welcoming speech to the contestants Vladimir Putin.
On April 29, the contestants sang in the Small Hall of the Kremlin Palace with solo numbers, and on May 2 they took the stage of the Great Hall along with popular Russian artists. Then the jury and distributed the prizes.

The competition was won by a teacher from Indonesia, a graduate of RUDN Raymord Pardameanwho sang the song “Let’s bow to those great years”, which at one time was performed by Ludmila ZykinaAnd Joseph Kobzon. The second place was given to the German Tino Icebrenner for the song “Cranes”. Bronze shared Yvonne Sauramba from Zimbabwe, who performed the hit “Cossacks in Berlin” and Zayaat Batzengeliin from Mongolia with the song “Oh, roads.”
In addition to talented newcomers, eminent artists also performed on the stage of the festival, expressing their support for the Russian army more than once: Polina Agureeva, Alexei Maklakov, Utah, Anna Bolshova and so on.

The Road to Yalta contest was broadcast online on the festival’s web resources, on the Let’s Watch platform, on the VK social network and on a huge plasma screen in the center of Yalta. For those who did not have time to enjoy the holiday of music, the broadcast will be shown on the air of the federal channel “Culture” on the eve of Victory Day.
