The Armed Forces of Ukraine (APU) in the rear areas are transferred to an enhanced mode of service, reports RT with reference to retired LPR lieutenant colonel Andrey Marochko.
According to him, we are talking about parts of the troops located in the part of Donbass controlled by Kyiv, Dnipropetrovsk and Kharkov regions. They prohibit leave for military personnel, and it is also recommended to withdraw officers and specialists from vacations.
This may be due to both reinsurance and the expectation of retaliatory actions after the terrorist attacks carried out by Kiev, and preparations for the offensive, Marochko believes.
Last Wednesday, May 3, President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelensky said that the Armed Forces of Ukraine would soon go on the offensive. In turn, the founder of the Wagner PMC, Yevgeny Prigozhin, said that the counteroffensive of the Ukrainian forces had already begun. Earlier, he assumed that the Kiev regime would give the order for a counteroffensive after May 2 – according to weather forecasts, the heavy rains should have stopped, and heavy military equipment would be able to advance.
