The Councilor for Citizen Participation and Sports, María Teresa Flores, has presented this Thursday ‘Sport for all’an initiative that Huelva City Hall is going to launch in different open-air spaces in the capital in order to bring the practice of sports closer to the boys and girls of the city.

As the mayor has advanced, “thanks to these days of animation and revitalization, the participants will be able to enjoy the practice of modalities such as futsal, volleyball, table tennis or basketball, as well as dances and different games cooperatives”.

The municipal priority, says María Teresa Flores, “is that minors have fun and acquire sports skills, as well as that they can see sport as an entertaining activity, that arouses emotion and enthusiasm and, above all, the desire to introduce them on a regular basis in their day to day”.

These workshops will take place on May 6th in the Plaza de las Monjas, from 11:30 a.m. to 1:00 p.m., the day 12 in La Orden, in the parking area located next to the Los Desniveles municipal center, from 6:30 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. may 19 in the neighborhood of Isla Chica, in the Antiguo Estadio Colombino, also from 6:30 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. He June 2nd The finishing touch to these conferences will be in the Manuel Lois recreation area, from 6:30 p.m. to 8:00 p.m.

The initiative is aimed mainly at boys and girls between the ages of 8 and 12, although there is flexibility so that minors of other ages can also participate, since attendees will be grouped into groups of similar ages and there will be twenty sports monitors to coordinate the different activities.

Each of the days will begin and end with a participatory dance, carrying out a choreography that will be practiced with the minors who attend each day, since the objective is also to create a space for coexistence where music and entertainment have a starring role.

The Consistory wants to light the flame of sport among Huelva boys and girls, promoting the acquisition of healthy lifestyle habits and all those values ​​that are closely linked to sports practice, such as effort, camaraderie and fair play. , among many others.
