The Andalusian Alternative Electricity Cooperative (Candela) has chosen Huelva for the celebration of your II Ordinary Assemblywhich will take place this coming Saturday, May 6, in the Assembly Hall of the Gota de Milkas announced this Thursday at a press conference by the president of Candela, Pepa Beiras.

“Huelva has been chosen for having the largest and most active community of members in all of Andalusia”, stressed the company’s top manager, after which she expressed her gratitude for the “efforts made to organize this interesting assembly”.

Candela, which is a “cooperative society that markets and provides electrical services”, aims to “fight for a fair energy transition and an electrical system that is transparent and democratic and guarantees access to energy for all Andalusians”, all this “based on renewable energy”, Beiras continued.

Likewise, the president of Candela has remarked that “among our objectives is to make Andalusia energy self-sufficient and fight so that new energy sources do not fall into the hands of the usual, that is, those who already had oil and hydroelectric plants ”.

Before the constitution of the Assembly as such, which will take place at 11:00 a.m., the Gota de Leche Assembly Hall will host, from 10:00 a.m., a public lecture by the expert and researcher from the University of Exeter ( England) on ‘The impact of climate change according to the latest report of the International Panel on Climate Change. Citizen responses’.

Then proceed to the beginning of the assembly, where a renewal and expansion of the Governing Council of Candela will be approved, in addition to the Social Management, Memory, Balance Sheet and Income Statement of the last year.
