More than 30 events were held in the business program of the exhibition, in which more than 300 speakers spoke.
“The Caucasian Investment Exhibition was held for the first time and immediately attracted a significant number of participants. We witnessed a lively dialogue between the state, business and public institutions, several dozens of business events took place: round tables, discussions, meetings. Agreements have been signed, new ties have been established. I believe that the goal set by the organizers has been achieved, and the event itself will certainly give an additional impetus to the development of the North Caucasus Federal District. I am sure that the potential that each region has today will be realized, among other things, thanks to the presentation of sights, investment opportunities and resources at the Caucasian Investment Exhibition,” said Alexander Novak, Deputy Prime Minister of the Russian Federation in charge of the North Caucasus Federal District.
Among high-ranking foreign officials, the President of the Republic of Abkhazia Aslan Bzhaniya and the President of the Republic of South Ossetia Alan Gagloev took part in the event; Chairman of the Government of the Republic of South Ossetia Konstantin Dzhussoev; Vice Prime Minister, Minister of Economy of the Republic of Abkhazia Kristina Ozgan; Deputy Prime Minister, Minister of Economic Development of the Republic of South Ossetia Dzambolat Tadtaev.
Russian Prime Minister Mikhail Mishustin held a meeting with members of the Government Commission on Social and Economic Development of the North Caucasus Federal District at the site of the Caucasian Investment Exhibition.
At the end of the Caucasus Investment Exhibition, the Minister of Economic Development of the Russian Federation Maxim Reshetnikov noted: “The current situation plays into the interests of the North Caucasus, because, firstly, this is now the main logistical crossroads: this is the Azov-Black Sea region, this is the North-South corridor. Secondly, if earlier national capital largely invested in foreign countries, now everyone understands that it is necessary to invest in a country, including the North Caucasus with a gigantic market and opportunities. For the Caucasus, now is a real time of opportunity, and judging by the interest that we see at the Caucasus exhibition from investors, I think we will all work together so that this time is not missed.”
The Caucasian Investment Exhibition has become not only an expert and exhibition platform, but also a place where negotiations are held and business contracts are concluded on major projects and agreements. Over 50 agreements worth more than 150 billion rubles were signed at KIV-2023.
At the main exhibition exposition KIV-2023, 20 stands of the regions of the North Caucasus Federal District and countries, as well as commercial companies operating in the North Caucasian Federal District were presented. The Republic of Dagestan, the Republic of Chechnya, the Republic of Ingushetia, the Republic of North Ossetia-Alania, the Republic of Kabardino-Balkaria, the Republic of Karachay-Cherkessia, the Stavropol Territory, as well as the Republics of Abkhazia and South Ossetia will present their investment projects. The central area of the exposition was the joint stand of the Kavkaz.RF Development Institute.
