The funeral of Vyacheslav Zaitsev will take place on May 4 in Shchelkovo near Moscow at the Zhegalovsky cemetery. So decided the only son of the fashion designer Yegor Zaitsev.
For several days, journalists called Moscow ritual offices, with the only question: when and where will the farewell to the most famous Russian fashion designer take place. And they received the same answer: “No one contacted us on the basis of Zaitsev. He will probably be buried in the Moscow region, where they have their own agents and offices.”
And so it happened: Vyacheslav Zaitsev will find his last rest in a rural cemetery near the village of Kablukovo, Shchelkovsky District, Moscow Region, where the fashion designer has lived in recent years in his luxurious mansion. But this path was not entirely easy.
On April 30, Vyacheslav Mikhailovich died in the intensive care unit of the Shchelkovo city hospital, where he was brought on the same day with internal bleeding. After his death, he spent the night in the local department of pathology. But the next day, on May 1, his body was transferred to the Fryazinsky morgue – there is a forensic medical examination. Most likely, the relatives insisted on an autopsy.
Earlier, the ex-director of the Fashion House, Nikolai Golovin, said that Zaitsev’s relatives did not want to take the body, and in general, the couturier’s son Yegor Zaitsev was waiting for his father’s death, “for him, what happened was a holiday.” But Golovin’s words must be divided by ten, at one time he was fired from the Fashion House and an insult to Yegor Zaitsev settled in him.
Recall that Vyacheslav Zaitsev died on April 30 at the age of 86. He had a stomach ulcer, which provoked internal bleeding, which caused a sudden death. In recent years, he rarely appeared in public due to Parkinson’s disease, and also suffered a stroke twice. In June 2022, he held a new collection show at Moscow Fashion Week, where he appeared in a wheelchair.
