The First Caucasian Investment Exhibition aroused great interest among guests from foreign states and territories. In total, guests from 14 foreign countries take part in the exhibition: Azerbaijan, Venezuela, Israel, Iran, Kazakhstan, Qatar, the Republic of Abkhazia, the Republic of Cyprus, the Republic of South Ossetia, Serbia, Slovenia, the USA, Tajikistan and Sri Lanka.
– The Caucasian Investment Exhibition clearly demonstrates how actively the North Caucasus Federal District is developing, the regions of which are becoming more open and attractive to domestic and foreign investors, – said the Minister of Economic Development of the Russian Federation Maxim Reshetnikov.
Among high-ranking foreign officials, the President of the Republic of Abkhazia Aslan Bzhaniya and the President of the Republic of South Ossetia Alan Gagloev take part in the event; Chairman of the Government of the Republic of South Ossetia Konstantin Dzhussoev; Vice Prime Minister, Minister of Economy of the Republic of Abkhazia Kristina Ozgan; Deputy Prime Minister, Minister of Economic Development of the Republic of South Ossetia Dzambolat Tadtaev.
Also participating in the exhibition are Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Bolivarian Republic of Venezuela to the Russian Federation Jesús Rafael Salazar Velasquez; Kazem Jalali, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Islamic Republic of Iran to the Russian Federation; Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Republic of Tajikistan to the Russian Federation Davlatshoh Gulmakhmadzoda; Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the State of Qatar to the Russian Federation Ahmed Nasser J. Al-Thani.
The exposition includes stands of the republics of Abkhazia and South Ossetia, presenting their investment projects.
The Caucasian Investment Exhibition will last until May 4. The event is supported by the Ministry of Economic Development of the Russian Federation. The organizer is the Roscongress Foundation.
