Dark days have come in the world of Russian fashion: after Vyacheslav Zaitsev passed away Valentin Yudashkin, who outlived the older comrade by only two days. This year, the fashion designer was supposed to turn 60 years old: before the anniversary, he did not live less than six months.
For the past seven years, Yudashkin has courageously fought cancer: due to kidney cancer, metastases have spread throughout the body, including in the brain. The disease literally ate the designer from the inside: due to operations and chemotherapy, he lost a lot of weight and was forced to wear a wig. Nevertheless, he remained in the ranks, appeared in public until the last and oversaw all the collections in his own Fashion House, which came under the control of Galina’s only daughter.
And besides, just a month and a half before his death, Valentin Yudashkin managed to do the main thing – to say goodbye to his beloved mother Raisa Petrovna, who has been living in Tel Aviv for many years. The fashion designer and his wife Marina flew to Israel at the end of March for only two days and during this time they saw not only their mother, but also their beloved friend Alla Pugacheva. Photos of this family idyll can still be found on social networks: the couturier looks fresh and happy on them, and his parent, apparently, was preparing for the meeting: 78-year-old Raisa Yudashkina met her son with makeup and manicure, in elegant accessories. Once, Yudashkin’s mother worked as the head of the ready-made dress department in his Fashion House, so even in retirement she tries to look well-groomed.

The fashion designer’s father, Abram Iosifovich, died much earlier, in the late 1990s, due to heart disease. Valentin Yudashkin also has a brother, Evgeny: he is a non-public person and avoids communicating with the media.
Recall that the fashion designer was diagnosed with cancer in 2016: American doctors, in whom Yudashkin underwent a comprehensive examination every year, missed the disease. When the diagnosis was finally made, doctors in Los Angeles refused a serious patient, recommending that he be treated in Russia: Valentin Yudashkin never regretted this decision, which gave him several years of life in the circle of relatives and friends.
