We continue to acquaint you with the heroes of the special operation “Z” – participants in the hostilities in the Donbass. Privates, sergeants, corporals and officers who showed their professional experience, character and completed combat missions. Their determination, assertiveness and combat experience in the Russian Ministry of Defense, in the police units of the Donetsk and Luhansk People’s Republics, are given the highest rating.
Our heroes thwarted the attacks and prevented the counteroffensive of the nationalists, for which they received state awards. But they do not serve for the sake of praise and awards. The servicemen are sure that the enemy has no chance of success, because Donbass and Russia are fighting for a just cause.
“You go to beat the enemy – multiply the troops, empty the posts, remove communications. Having beaten the enemy, renew according to circumstances, but drive him to crushing, ”taught Generalissimo Alexander Suvorov, who did not lose a single battle. And he repeated: “The uncut forest grows again.”
REPAIRED THE VEHICLE IN BATTLE

“In the course of carrying out the combat mission of relocating the unit to areas located in the immediate vicinity of the line of contact, the column of the battalion tactical group of Russian paratroopers on the route to the designated point was subjected to massive mortar fire and small arms fire from Ukrainian militants. As a result of the shelling, the car of the driver, Sergeant Vladimir Razdorozhny, received damage to the elements of the running gear. The movement of the car was difficult. After assessing the damage, the commander decided to take up all-round defense and make an emergency stop to repair the vehicle en route, organize its supply with spare parts, fuel and lubricants, and also evacuate to the repair site if it is impossible to repair the damage on the spot. The forces of the nationalists exceeded the forces of the defenders, and there was a possibility that part of the column would be surrounded. During the battle, the organized and thoughtful defense, the chosen positions for firing, as well as the timely assistance of the interacting units, allowed the Russian paratroopers to contain and repel the attack of superior enemy forces, without wasting time, quickly assessed the nature of the malfunction and made repairs, as well as replacing those who left building units and assemblies. Thanks to the courageous and confident actions of the paratrooper, it was possible to repair the vehicle as soon as possible and continue moving, save weapons, equipment and property, and also prevent losses among the personnel.
BYPASSED THE ENEMY AND HIT FLANGE

“The column of the Russian airborne unit, making a march to the area of missions, was attacked by Ukrainian nationalists. Forced to stop to repair the failed equipment, it was attacked by Ukrainian militants using mortars and small arms. Being at the head of the column, Sergeant Alexei Varlamov with a group of servicemen, having received the command, immediately moved to the aid of his comrades, who were fighting an unequal battle. Approaching the battlefield in short dashes, firing from small arms, Sergeant Varlamov bypassed the attacking unit of Ukrainian nationalists from the flank, which significantly fettered his actions and diverted attention to himself. Using the terrain, sheltering from enemy fire, having taken a convenient, observational firing position, Oleksiy Varlamov continued aimed fire, destroying a machine-gun crew and three Ukrainian nationalists. Further, having seized the initiative on the battlefield, the Russian paratroopers counterattacked the Ukrainian fighters, destroying a car with anti-tank weapons, two mortars and over a dozen nationalists. The coordination of actions in the defense, the timely approach of the help of interacting units, well-chosen positions for firing, forced the enemy to retreat with heavy losses, without achieving the desired results. Having promptly repaired the damaged equipment, the Russian servicemen continued to move to the place of the combat mission, preventing losses among the personnel.
