The president of the People’s PartyManuel Andrés González, remarked this Tuesday during his visit to Lujovi Andalusian Cooperative Societyin County Rocianathat he Third Drought Decree approved by the Andalusian Government invests in water infrastructure in the province in the face of the “negligence and abandonment” of the Government of Sánchez.
González has stressed that the Government of Juanma Moreno is once again ahead of the Government of Pedro Sánchez and the rest of the Autonomous Communities with this third decree of measures against the drought valued at 163 million euros that will improve the water pipes in the province of Huelva.
The popular has insisted on the null commitment on the part of the PSOE that despite having powers in 67% of the territory, has only approved a decree of measures against drought, worth 9.6 million euros, instead the Government Andalusian, with powers in 33% of the Andalusian territory, has already promoted two decrees of measures against drought, executed in 72% and which have mobilized 141 million euros.
In this sense, he recalled that “almost five years after the arrival of Pedro Sánchez to the Government after the motion of censure, it has not yet complied with the Transfer Law approved in 2018, it keeps the works of the Alcolea Dam paralyzed and blocked and those of the San Silvestre tunnel have not yet begun, systematically failing to comply with the dates to which it was committed”.
“The central government does not react and continues without taking urgent actions to deal with the drought and to guarantee the future of agriculture in our province, the supply of water for domestic use, and for productive sectors such as industry or tourism” .
Regarding the water infrastructure works that the third Drought Decree entails in the Tinto-Odiel-Piedras basin, he has pointed out the improvement of the intake of the El Andévalo dam in order to make better use of the dammed water, work to improve the El Chanza pumping station and station number 1 of the El Chanza stilt house and tertiary treatment at the Huelva WWTP.
