The candidate for mayor of Huelva for VOXWenceslao Font, has attended this Sunday the festivities in honor of San Isidro Labrador that La Ribera and La Alquería celebrate before the start, on May 5, of the pilgrimage also dedicated to the patron saint of these neighborhoods of the capital.
Accompanied by María Ponce and Raúl Molina, members of the list with which Wenceslao Font is running for the 28M elections in the capital, the candidate did not want to miss this long-awaited and deeply rooted spring event that is, in his words, ” a hallmark of Huelva that must be taken care of”.
This was stated during a meeting with the president of the Brotherhood of San Isidro Labrador, Alejandro Molina; the older sister of the 2023 Pilgrimage, Rocío González; and other members of the entity, whom he has thanked for the work of “maintaining a distinctive and unique tradition.”
Neighbors’ claims to Vox
In addition, Wenceslao Font has subsequently addressed some of the claims they maintain with neighbors, such as “the lack of basic services, the disconnection with the rest of the city or the lack of cleanliness of the stream bed.”
In this sense, the candidate for VOX has promised to work to restore health care for at least one day a week that they had before, as well as to create, among other projects, “a leisure area so that the elderly can enjoy their quality time.
