The Atlantic Copper Foundation will sponsor, one more year, the Huelva International Comic Fair, after the renewal of the collaboration agreement it has signed with the 6 Viñetas Cultural Association, organizer of the event. The 17th edition of this meeting will take place from May 4 to 7 at the Casa Colón in the Huelva capital with activities for all ages.

The agreement has been signed by Antonio de la Vega, general director of the Foundation, and Gerardo Macías, president of the 6 Viñetas Cultural Association, and contemplates the collaboration of the Foundation as sponsor of the event, as well as the activities ‘El Juego de Platero’ and ‘Copper Girl’.

‘El Juego de Platero’ is like a giant goose game whose protagonist is the beloved character from Juan Ramón. The boxes represent figures from the comic or children’s references. With a giant dice and large squares, the smallest ones are the tiles themselves that move around the board following the rules of the game.

For its part, ‘Copper Girl’ is a character and comic that Atlantic Copper Foundation launched last year at this same event, with the aim of making young people aware of the importance of recycling technological products such as mobiles, tablets and computers, in order to give a new life to the metals they contain.

For the Atlantic Copper Foundation, “it is a satisfaction to once again support a cultural event like this, which has so many followers here in Huelva. An initiative with a long history, which brings together great artists from the world of comics every year”, commented Antonio de la Vega.

The poster for the 2023 Comic Fair focuses, on this occasion, on the well-known Marvel character, Spiderman. A work by the author Fernando Dagnino, who will also attend the meeting to sign his works. The 17th edition of ‘Chocómic’ will feature stands, performances, cosplayersin addition to activities such as talks and workshops.
