Marked as “confidential” documents about the Royal Navy nuclear submarine HMS Anson have been found on the floor of a British pub.

The cost of the boat is estimated at 1.3 billion pounds, writes The Sun.

A source at the British Navy headquarters told reporters that the documents found contained drawings and information on “how divers and contractors understand the interaction of submarine systems.”

The heading “confidential” refers to the military document flow of the British military as secret, even if it is classified one level below the heading “secret”.

The investigation has already begun. The main version, according to the military, is the one according to which “someone took the pages found for study.”

“It’s nice to see a diver’s commitment to training, but a pub is not the place to be,” said former submarine captain Ryan Ramsay.

But so far, the culprit has not been found. The owners of the pub confirmed that among their visitors there are often military sailors, as well as foreigners in the institution. So the version that secret information was transferred to a representative of foreign intelligence in the toilet is not ruled out.
