The Chamber of Commerce regrets the loss of its former president, Manuel Abolado del Río, who died today at his residence in Madrid.

The chamber institution loses one of the most prestigious presidents of the entity at whose head he was from 1976 to 1979, a position that he made compatible with his responsibility in Huelva as director of the company Explosivos Riotinto (current cepsa).

On the occasion of the commemorative act of the 125th anniversary of the founding of the Chamber of Commerce, Manuel Abollado was distinguished with the insignia of the institution in recognition of the role he played at the head of it that allowed him to achieve important social notoriety, following in the wake of his predecessors.

Manuel Dented in memory

As Manuel Abollado himself recognized in that tribute offered in Huelva, together with former Francisco García Raez and Isabel Arcos, “it was a really pleasant experience, in which I learned a lot and felt that the work I was doing was really useful”.
