Vladimir Putin met with the President of the Russian Fertilizer Association Andrey Guryev.
– Over the past ten years, Russia has increased the production of fertilizers by 40%, has become one of the world’s leading countries in the production of fertilizers and is fully self-sufficient in all major types of fertilizers, – the president said at the very beginning.
The head of the country asked Guryev to talk about restrictions on Russian exports, how they affect the situation with fertilizers on the world market.
– We have overtaken the United States, India in production and today we are the largest producer of mineral fertilizers in the world after China. Over the past ten years, Russia has provided one third of the entire growth in the production of mineral fertilizers in the world, the entrepreneur reported.
He added that the domestic market remains a priority for business. But exports are also growing thanks to investments. Although in the last two years he had a “small drop”.
How much do people earn on average? – said the head of the country.
– The average salary is 130 thousand rubles. It is different by region, but average, it also depends on bonuses, – Guryev answered.
In the end, Putin thanked the industry workers for the growth of the agricultural sector:
– We achieved a record harvest last year, including by increasing the investment of fertilizers in domestic agriculture.
The growth in fertilizer production also affects grain exports.
