The research service of hh.ru, the largest online recruiting platform in Russia, found out whether Kuban residents are satisfied with the current level of wages.
A survey of local residents conducted by hh.ru showed that only 26% of Kuban residents are quite satisfied with the level of current wages. Another 70% of local respondents said that they are unhappy with their salary and believe that it should be more. The rest hesitated to answer. Compared to 2022, the share of workers dissatisfied with their wages in the South of Russia increased by 5%.
More often than others, representatives of the professional fields “Security” (35%), as well as “Strategy, investments, consulting” and “Information technologies” (30% each) are satisfied with their salary. The share of those who are not satisfied with the current salary is highest in the areas of Medicine, Pharmaceuticals (84%), Tourism, Hotels, Restaurants (80%) and Lawyers (76%).
Among residents of different regions, the most satisfied with the level of wages is observed in the Khanty-Mansiysk Autonomous Okrug (38%), and dissatisfied – in the Yaroslavl region (85%).
Half (50%) of Kuban residents who are not satisfied with the salary believe that it should grow twice or more from their current level of income. Every fifth (20%) would like to increase current earnings by more than 2-3 times.
The share of those who dream of at least doubling their salaries is highest in the Yaroslavl region (61%), the Volgograd region (59%) and the Saratov region (56%), and in the professional context – among IT specialists (56% ), workers in science and education and lawyers (54% each).
The survey was conducted from April 3 to April 21, 2023 among 5,334 Russian job seekers.
