The mayoress of Punta UmbriaAurora Águedo Borrero, and the Councilor for Youth, Luis Manuel Alfonso Villegas, announced this Thursday the programming that the Consistory has prepared to celebrate the youth month.
They will be a total of 14 activities to be held in the town for the adolescent group. They will begin this Thursday, April 27, and will end on May 25.
The mayoress has indicated that “we have had the opinion of the young people who have transmitted their concerns and proposals.” She has also highlighted “Youth Month not only contains entertainment, but also includes acts of education in values.”
On the other hand, the councilor added that “a program like the ones before the pandemic has been created” and added that “Punta Umbría is proud of its youth and I encourage all the boys and girls to participate in the activities” .
The events begin today, April 27, at 6:00 p.m. in the Youth House with the table football tournament.
On May 3 and 17 there will be a prevention talk ‘Social networks; a poisoned candy’. The first day will take place at IES Saltés at 10:00 am, and the second day will be at the same time at IES Bitácora.
The activities will continue on Friday, May 5, with a battle of roosters at 6:00 p.m. in the Plaza de las Artes, and at 9:00 p.m. there will be a gathering with young volunteers at the Casa de la Juventud.
Already on Saturday the 6th a Youth Party will be held in which three local groups will perform, as well as a DJ and bar. This will be at 8:00 p.m. in the Plaza de las Artes.
On Tuesday, May 9 at 6:00 p.m. at the Youth House, the activities will continue with a workshop given by Víctor Ruiz: ‘New Masculinities’.
The activity will move on May 10 to Parque del Carmen with a ping-pong tournament starting at 6:00 p.m.
On Friday, May 12 at 12:00 at the Teatro del Mar, the Casa de la Juventud award ceremony will take place, where several young people who have excelled in various fields of social, economic, educational, sports and cultural life will be recognized. Township. And in the afternoon, at 4:00 p.m., the Video Game Fair will be enjoyed at the Casa de la Juventud.
