Medvedev also predicted the secession of a number of states from the United States and said that he personally would “cheer for Texas” if he began to seek independence.
Speaking about relations between the EU and the US, Medvedev noted that there is not a single independent politician in Europe. Everyone depends on the USA. Even those who are loyal to Russia and with whom our country has good relations.
The hand must not tremble on the nuclear button
Medvedev said that the head of state must be ready to use nuclear weapons if necessary, and his hand must not waver, “no matter how monstrous and cruel it may sound.”
He noted that, as a former president, he knows what it is.
According to Medvedev, the West should not underestimate the possibility of Russia using nuclear weapons. Medvedev also said that the words that the Russians only scare, but in fact they will not press the nuclear button, are worthless. Medvedev expressed confidence that Russia would use nuclear weapons in case of a threat to its existence.
Medvedev called nuclear weapons a staple for Russia, which is of fundamental importance for the existence of the country.
Medvedev also said that a new world war is likely, but not inevitable. He recalled that war has been avoided for the past 30 years, but “it still came.” According to him, war was imposed on Russia.
Oil and gas will rise in price
The rise in oil and gas prices in the world will continue, Medvedev said.
According to him, one thousand euros per thousand cubic meters of gas will return soon.
Medvedev recalled that in December 2022 he predicted an increase in oil prices to $150 per barrel and gas prices to $5,000 per 1,000 cubic meters. m. And in his opinion, he did not exaggerate much – energy prices are rising.
Medvedev noted that this year Europe was able to survive the winter, but the cost was high. Now the Europeans are buying more expensive gas from the US and enriching the Americans.
Western Ukraine can go to Poland and Hungary
Medvedev said that the likelihood of the seizure of Ukrainian territories by Poland and Hungary is increasing.
– The leaders of Poland are talking with the Ukrainian leadership about the confederation, and from here it is not far to the union, as it once was. There is a reason. If you don’t take into NATO and the European Union all the Ukrainian girl who has fallen at the feet of the owners, we will take the remaining regions there in parts. I will express a seditious thought. A quiet partition is better than Ukraine in NATO or a world war,” Medvedev said.
According to him, Poland, Hungary and Romania have been dreaming of taking over the western regions of Ukraine for more than a decade.
Will the euro be cancelled?
Medvedev did not rule out that the EU countries could abandon the euro and return to their national currencies. According to him, the euro began to lose its role as a universal means of payment. So, a return to the former is not excluded: to marks, lira and francs.
– Welcome back to the financial patchwork system with national currencies! – said Medvedev.
According to him, the rejection of the euro will confuse the calculations and create problems in the global financial market.
Against this background, according to Medvedev, there is no alternative to the ruble, yuan, Indian rupee, other currencies of the BRICS countries in the future. In this regard, Medvedev urged to think about creating a BRICS digital currency.
