Vladimir Putin continues meet with governors who have re-elections this year. Next in line is the head of the Yamalo-Nenets Autonomous Okrug Dmitry Artyukhov. And although not a word was said openly about the September vote, the meeting itself already spoke of presidential support.
“In the Yamalo-Nenets Autonomous Okrug, in general, there are pluses everywhere in terms of the main indicators. The most important integrated indicator, or integrating all your affairs, is the growth of the resident population, and due to natural growth,” Vladimir Vladimirovich warmly welcomed the 35-year-old governor.
The head of the Yamal-Nenets Autonomous Okrug, by tradition, began with a report on support for families of fighters special operations.
“In our region, we have launched free trips for children (military – Ed.) to children’s camps, free medicines – a whole range of support measures. But the most important thing, of course, is personal attention: for one of the leaders, the head of the city, to come home , looked at how the family lives, the guys, as a rule, left young, somewhere someone did not finish the repair, somewhere the son wanted to go to the sports section … Just take the hand and bring, once again help in such simple seemingly questions,” the governor said.
Then Artyukhov moved on to description of affairs in the region:
– Although gas exports in the number of cubic meters have decreased, due to high prices, raw materials producers have earned more money than in 2021.
– Thanks to the “well-being” from the “strong economy”, the population of the region is growing.
The Governor reminded Olga Dekhtyarenko from Nadym, which Putin recently awarded the title of “Mother Heroine”.
“We are very proud of such families, God sent nine daughters, one son,” the head of the YNAO noted.
“Say hello to them,” the president replied.
– Pregnant women are given genetic tests to pre-determine possible problems. And for children with diabetes, continuous monitoring systems are being created.
– There are no deceived equity holders left in Yamal. But we still need to resettle many dilapidated houses and build schools.
“As for schools, you still need to work here. After all, many children go to two more shifts,” the head of the country said.
– In Novy Urengoy, they are completing construction modern airport.
“Who is the architect?” Putin asked, becoming interested in the sketches of the terminal.
“Our guys, our project. They took the chum for the idea, elements of the northern dwelling are visible,” Artyukhov boasted of the original performance.
And the meeting ended with a discussion of infrastructure. There have long been plans to build a new 700-kilometer Northern Latitudinal Railway in Yamal. Now, when the budget is in deficit, the government will have to save on something. But Artyukhov tried to convince the president that this branch should be built.
“All future major projects (gas – Ed.) will be in the shelf zone, there is no infrastructure nearby, the nearest serious infrastructure is Sabetta (a port on the Kara Sea – Ed.). There is very little left – 170 kilometers, and Russia will have another Arctic a port with a railroad,” the governor said.
“But this section from Nadym to Salekhard should also be built, right?” Vladimir Vladimirovich asked doubtfully.
“Yes, it’s basic Northern latitudinal course“, – agreed the head of Yamal.
Apparently, the most expensive part of the railway will be the 2.5-kilometer bridge across the Ob. The project is so complex that the builders of the Crimean bridge took it upon themselves. Technically, they seem ready to do it, but the question of funding remains.
