In honor of the 80th anniversary of the defeat of the Nazi troops in the Battle of Stalingrad, one of the most important patriotic undertakings of the Federal Bailiff Service – the All-Russian Watch of Memory – will take place this year in a place that is significant for all residents of our country.
Search squads of bailiffs from all over the country will gather in the Gorodishchensky district of the Volgograd region. The Battle of Stalingrad claimed almost half a million lives of Soviet soldiers – therefore, conducting search work here is of particular importance.
Scheduled for the second half of August, the Watch of Memory-2023 will be held with the participation of the All-Russian public movement to perpetuate the memory of those who died in defense of the Fatherland “Search Movement of Russia”.
The search detachment “Dolg” of the Main Directorate of the Federal Bailiff Service of Russia for the Krasnodar Territory will also take part in the search work.
Recall that in September 2022, the All-Russian Memory Watch of the Federal Bailiff Service was held in the hero city of Novorossiysk. For two weeks, 200 bailiffs from 41 regions of Russia conducted search operations on Mount Koldun and Mount Sugar Loaf, where fierce battles took place during the Great Patriotic War.
Detachments of bailiffs raised the remains of 35 Soviet soldiers. They were reburied with full military honors at the Kabakhakha city cemetery. The medal of one of them – the commander of the department of the sanitary company of the 571st rifle regiment of the 317th rifle division Verbitsky Alexei Gavrilovich – was found and handed over to the granddaughter of the warrior invited to Malaya Zemlya.
The closing of the Novorossiysk-2022 Memory Watch coincided with the anniversary of the liberation of the hero city from the Nazi invaders.
The wreath-laying ceremony was attended by Deputy Director of the Federal Bailiff Service of Russia, Lieutenant-General of the Internal Service Vladimir Voronin, Deputy of the State Duma of the Russian Federation Sergey Altukhov, Mayor of Novorossiysk Andrey Kravchenko, Commander of the Novorossiysk Naval Base of the Black Sea Fleet Rear Admiral Viktor Kochemazov, search squads of bailiffs .
