The other day, people’s artist of the Russian Federation, leading actor of “Lenkom” Andrey Leonov and theater director Mark Warsawer handed over a medium-duty off-road truck to the sanitary and medical service in the NVO zone. This car belonged to Andrei Leonov for 40 years, now it will serve the Russian army.
“I supported Andrey’s idea to donate my truck to those who need it more now,” the director of the theater told KP Mark Warsawer. – The car is from the 80s. It was already an old car, which was repaired at my request. I hope that Andrei Leonov will get behind the wheel and go to Donbass himself to personally hand over the keys to the medical unit in Donetsk. This truck will come in handy.
The GAZ-66 was restored free of charge by the guys from the heritage public and youth patriotic organization.
They painted the car. Now the truck is on the move, in working condition. When Andrei Leonov served in the army many years ago, he drove the unit commander in an UAZ. He returned to civilian life and bought himself the same one. Then he got a GAZ-66, which today he decided to transfer to the Donbass.
– I hope that this car will help everyone who ensures our victory. It is intended specifically for sanitary and medical purposes and, God forbid, will bring good and benefit, – said Andrey Leonov.
The cross-country vehicle will go to the Donbass not empty, but filled to the brim with humanitarian aid – provisions, bandages, tourniquets…
This is yet another charitable event held by Lenkom as part of the support of our servicemen who are performing the tasks of the NMD on the front line and undergoing treatment in hospitals.
Several times the leading artists of the troupe came with performances to the hospital near Moscow. Vishnevsky to the wounded soldiers.
Actors Anton Shagin and Andrey Skolov regularly travel to Donetsk with charity concerts, music and poetry programs. Shagin reads his poems there, some of them are dedicated to the events in Ukraine.
